Helen explains the process of developing the strategy for a web solution and wireframe for a client project. She describes how we draw up IT plans that take into account the importance of the client’s current BI analytics capabilities as well as future improvement goals.
By meeting with key people from your analytics, IT, and management teams, we will gather information to streamline your business processes and minimise costs.

Phase One: Investigation
These are the questions that we would ask our clients and the steps we take to find the best solution that will solve their challenges and meet their specific needs.
What are your goals?
> What is your team’s capacity?
> Skillset + size?
> Do you have internal management and do they have capacity?
What’s your technical infrastructure and what are your goals/limitations/requirements/expectations for these?
>What software do you use and why?
>How do you use it - what are your business processes around this?
What are your reporting goals?
> What are your go-to systems for leadership meetings and how do these interact with reporting currently?
>How would you like them to interact?
>Do you have internal + external reporting - is there a need for secure access to some data by some user types, and possibly de-identified access for other user types?

Phase Two: strategy + solution development
We develop a wireframe or technical data flow diagram or both. We use this to walk you through our ideas for developing a system that will work for you. You give us feedback, correct us on business processes, let us know where things will and won’t work or where you’d like visual changes to interfaces we’ll work on together.
Phase Three: collaborative implementation
Ideally, implementation involves a collaborative process where we keep internal teams up to speed as we work. This allows them to QA for business process and to give us iterative feedback as we work, within the scope of the project. We like to work with a per-feature focus, so that you know exactly what the outcome of each smaller section of work is and can get that routine feedback. It also allows you to start implementation in small sections so that you can demonstrate value to your clients and reporting bodies. This also gives us room to reflect on the goals and to update these if circumstances change.
Phase four: training
We set up systems that fit in with your current ways of working, making things easier to access in an intuitive way. Where a new process is required for this, our preference is always to supplement our handover documentation with training on your new systems, and support you through the learning process.
