Notitia is looking for a full stack JS/TS developer with up to a few years of practical experience. We are a young consulting business which has grown from a team of two to sixteen in five years. We have offices in Melbourne and Adelaide, with clients across Australia and partners all around the world. We develop data-driven solutions that genuinely improve clients day-to-day workflows.
The development team will be there to support you and to help you troubleshoot, debug, and brainstorm. However, your day-to-day will involve an independent work style - you’ll be given the space to work on a project element with group check-ins daily. We don’t believe in meetings for the sake of meetings, and you will be trusted from day one to work independently.
In addition to working on a broad range of interesting and varied projects, we take a proactive approach to developing the skills and experience of all our people. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your role in directions that interest you. We don’t believe that seniority should mean management by default, so role development is split into specialist and management streams to reflect that. You’ll also collaborate directly with our other specialist teams to broaden your experience of development work.
Our Adelaide team catches up for a weekly Friday lunch - employment grants you access to our exclusive tiered lunch venue ranking! We have a yearly company shut-down over Christmas with extended annual leave included, hold annual Wellness Day “public holidays” with complimentary spa & restaurant vouchers, and get together for a whole-company catch-up trip at least once a year.
You’ll have knowledge of component architectures at a high level to be able to implement in a range of codebases. You will be interested in growing your knowledge base. As a consulting company, we respond to clients’ needs and also to the limitations of their pre-existing systems - you’ll need to be happy to learn on the job and to code in ways that you’re new to.
Our dev team will walk you through our current development workflow - there’s no expectation that you’ll have experience with our exact dev stack, but we do expect that you’ll be willing to get up to speed on the job so that we’ve got a consistent company development approach.
This will include spinning up JS/TS backends using frameworks like Fastify, Hono or Express, developing with web APIs and getting up to speed with front end frameworks (typically Svelte Kit) to implement customer requirements as needed. You’ll work alongside a design team who will assist you with aesthetic and UX aspects of the solution.
